Description
A cascade, a big one, along the hoh river trail in Olympic National Park.
Even though it was off-and-on rainy, that trail was one of the best we took while at the park.

This is a beautiful photograph. The rocks are dark enough to contrast nicely with the river. Where I live it's nice to go on vacation somewhere green and rainy for a change. I visited the Hoh rainforest this past summer. The whole national park on the Olympic peninsula is a wonderland for photographers. The forests, when I visited, were not getting much rain but still appeared quite dark, and I wonder (I know little about professional photography and I probably dont have a solid understanding yet of all the things my camera is capable of) how much does slow exposure affect the image's overall lighting? With my tiny Canon PowerShot SD800 IS, slow exposureeven to the smallest degreehas detrimental effects on the brightness/darkness of the image. Is this somewhat the case for a Canon PowerShot A620?
