Artist's Comments

My newest work, A combination of airbrushing, photomanipulation, layering/layer effects, texturizing, etc. A fair bit of work, I spent half an hour trying to decide what color to make the rings of the topmost planet, so please be forgiving, I couldn't decide. :P

Sorry for the long hiatus, I was kind of busy and kind of lazy. ;)

If you like this, stop by my gallery! I hate to sound like a whiny bitch, but I feel underappreciated. :P

Complete awesomeness! Love the layers of earth, sky and space.
Just gotta love this one.
And yes you are an underappreciated whiny bitch.

Wow. Great colors and I love that top planet! It is amazing. Beautiful, great job!

Very cool. The choice of blue for the rings was a good choice since they go with the sky very well. The planets in the middle look slighly out of place. But the clouds and stars with the ships look good.

Very awesome concept and name. Love it :D
p.s. I know how it feels to be underappreciated.. >_< I only get favs n stuff if my work is extremely well done.

The unplanned organism is a question asked by nature and answered by death. I'm a different kind of question, with a different kind of answer.

The path from house to plane to space to planet is a pretty interesting idea, and not one I've seen before, to my knowledge at least.

The only niggling thing I can say is that the two planets look a bit too close together to be able to stay in their orbits. Either shrinking the one in the background or moving the ringed one up to create more space would improve the piece IMO.

Well, actually it's a fairly common idea. I've even done another one, with less transition, myself.

Secondly, that alignment is possible. :P You're assuming several things, including that they orbit the same planet, which just isn't the case. The nearest of the planets actually orbits the one that the ships are departing, while the other orbits the large planet shown there. You really should've, if anything, nitpicked the rings on the terrestial planet at the top of the image, they wouldn't stay ionized or in orbit for very long, and are largely impossible. ;P It's all aesthetics, though, so I usually don't spend much time figuring out possible orbital alignments...

Thanks for the comments. :)
