Artist's Comments

Woo. Foreground/ocean is stock photo -- clouds are separate from the image (a la A Thousand Years and Gone), made of a composite of many different cloud-photos and brushed and smudged to get the proper effect (all stock from [link] -- as with all of my stuff). Planets are standard method--all Photoshop.

I wanted a dreamy/hallucinogenic feel to the image, so I made sure to mess with the colors and add some layers with some lighting effects on them to get the bright-and-blurry feel (but not too much! I didn't want to ruin it). It really helped blend the stock photo in with the rest of the image, which is rather surreal.

Anyway. Wallpaper versions of this are forthcoming (Or maybe just one version--for once I worked in a resolution than can be scaled to wallpaper size reliably). Please comment and fav (if you like it)!

Very astral. I like the calm feeling this has and the peek of beach the scene offers. Good composition and I like the flow of the entire visual. Good.
